Usually Aquity had openings, it's usually an ongoing process for hiring. They send equipment once you pass training! I work for Aquity though so I only have experience from their end. I hear Scribe America can be overwhelming. I would work on getting a reliable computer/internet connection for training first. BTW, I was a medical transcriptionist for 20 years, that job uses basically the same knowledge and skills. Can you and I correspond on this? My address Sophie. ScribeAmerica told me in the phone I may reapply but I need to get a reliable computer first. I've also gotten termed about 5 years ago from Aquity. I can only work from home because I have a cardiac condition. I don't want to scare you off or make you think I'm weird, but I'm very scared. It's strict and in depth but it sets you up for success in the field. Training with aquity is mostly on your own time, but also on a schedule. Glad you got reliabke equipment! That's one battle down. They aren't playing you they are usually actively recruiting. Works well for me anyways and I enjoy it a lot. So your mental energy can focus on the task at hand. You don't have to do a lot in order to get ready for work. ![]() I will say virtual positions are really nice when you have chronic fatigue. Then if you pass those you'll get a phone call interview and the recruitment happens fast! If you can't type overly fast at the start, condensing your charts will help so you can go back and fill them out (training tip once you get into chart practice). For aquity you just need to give your resume and once they receive it/ your application you will be given a typing test (40 wpm at minimum) and a terminology quiz.
